2015 Year in Review
Last year represented our first full year in business. We are pleased to share just a few highlights from our many memorable projects.
We launched Roger That on a cold and rainy Monday back in November of 2014. From the moment we opened our doors, we have had the privilege to help fantastic clients in a variety of industries get better business results from their brands and websites.
We are so grateful for all of the wonderful clients we were privileged to work with in a variety of exciting industries. Here are some examples of our work this past year.
CASCADE AIDS PROJECT (CAP)
Web Design, Print Collateral, Event Branding
Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting those already affected by or at risk of contracting HIV. Roger That created a beautiful new visual identity and built a new custom website that better reflects CAP’s diverse community. We simplified the sitemap and added bold calls-to-action to encourage visitors to get tested, donate to CAP, or volunteer.
The new visual aesthetic features a vibrant color scheme and warm photography style to welcome CAP clients to a site optimized for their needs.
Following the digital rebrand and website launch, CAP engaged Roger that to create the 2015 Annual Report according to the updated brand guidelines. Roger That also applied these web guidelines to a new micro-site for CAP’s premier fundraising event, the annual Art Auction & After Party. Both feature a clean and bright design aesthetic that evoke feelings of hope and understanding.
Branding, Print Collateral, Web Design
Oregon MESA is an out-of-school program that provides access to a STEM education for students traditionally underrepresented in these fields. Roger That was tasked with uncovering Oregon MESA’s verbal brand in order to direct key messages to students, parents, teachers, funders, and partners. We then created a visual brand identity to match, featuring bright colors and hopeful imagery that are youthful and gender-neutral. Circuitry patterns were woven throughout the graphics to tie in the story of STEM without taking the focus off of the students.
We then moved into redesigning the organization’s website to better serve the needs of its users. The site content strategy features resources for all
LYB ASPHALT SUPPLY & TRUCKING COMPANY
Branding, Print Collateral, Web Design
LYB is a start-up asphalt supply and trucking company that approached Roger That to create its verbal and visual brand identity as well as redesign their website. We built the visual brand to include their existing colors of bright purple and golden yellow and incorporated complementary colors into their overall palette. Their new logo evokes feelings of movement and sets them apart from competitors in their industry. The website communicates their professionalism, reliability, and allows them to respond to requests for quotes quickly and efficiently.
Key Messaging, Web Design
Fulcrum Fitness is a community-focused, results-driven gym that offers boot camp, small group personal training, and nutrition coaching. They approached us to redesign their website in time for an upcoming promotion. After a brief but thorough discovery process, we developed new key messages and updated their visual aesthetic to give the site a boost of energy and move visitors from the home page to the promotion landing page.
In addition to updating the site's messaging and visual aesthetic, we also developed a unique page template that Fulcrum could use to create sales-oriented landing pages for future promotions. This helped them improve the conversion rates on their pay-per-click ad campaigns and turned more site visitors into paying members.
Friends of the Oregon Commission for Women
Event Branding, Print Collateral
Each year, the Friends of the Oregon Commission for Women hosts the Annual Women of Achievement Awards, honoring several remarkable female Oregonians. Roger That's print collateral for this event celebrated feminity and leadership by pairing simple imagery with traditional typography. The end design was a nod to the austerity of the event with a hint of tenderness.
Web Design, Print Collateral
Streamline Support (formerly NW Auction Support) provides flawless auction support and technology rentals to nonprofits all over the United States. Following a name change and visual brand refresh, Streamline Support approached Roger That for a new website that would clearly explain what they do and demonstrate their experience and professionalism through easily digestible content and simple, clean design.
Following the site redesign, Streamline engaged us to create an informational flyer they could mail to potential customers and hand out at industry events
