BRAND IDENTITY & Design

Potted Earth is poised to be the premier supplier of legal recreational cannabis in Oregon

As opposed to most marijuana products currently on the shelves, Potted Earth’s visual branding subtly hints at cannabis but is more indicative of an all-natural product. Simple typography paired with warm and approachable colors are an appealing invitation to a wide and varied audience.

1. Inspiration

For the verbal and visual inspiration of the brand, we drew upon Potted Earth’s commitment to bettering its community and desire to decrease cannabis-related stigma.

2.Process

After conducting interviews with Potted Earth founders and potential customers, we created over a dozen logo concepts, and refined the visual brand from those initial building blocks.

3. Final Logo

The final logo is approachable and not overtly representative of marijuana. The logo signifies Potted Earth’s high standards and minimalist aesthetic.

4. Color & typography

The typography and and color choices were intentionally counter-culture to stereotypical marijuana design. The cool color palette and simple type choices welcome a wide demographic, and evoke a high-end experience.

5. Final deliverables

Final deliverables position Potted Earth to acquire initial investors and seed capital.
